About Us

John DeLorey is the principal and founder of College Planning Services, specializing in college financing. Mr. DeLorey has been an independent college financial planning expert for more than 26 years. He has worked with over 5000 families to help them send their children to college without going broke by helping them financially navigate and maximize their college funding options.

 

Mr. DeLorey graduated from Boston College with a BS degree in Accounting and is a registered Investment Advisor. There are five staff members at College Planning Services handling the daily administrative responsibility and the yearly completion of the complicated financial aid forms. 

 

Our mission is to help parents with the right solutions to financing their children's college education.

 

Unlike investment companies like Fidelity or generic retirement financial planning, Mr. DeLorey specializes only in college financing; therefore, he is current on all of the recent changes affecting how parents finance their children's college education.

Mr. DeLorey is frequently asked to do public speaking on the topic “How to send a child to college...without going broke!”, to groups such as MASS Society of CPAs, MASS CPA Continuing Education Consortium sponsored by Salem State College and the University of Mass, RI Society of CPAs, New England Bio Lab, Ipswich, Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport and at local high schools in Danvers, Marblehead, Peabody and Newburyport.
