John DeLorey founded College Planning Services 26 years ago as a direct result of his working with parents of high school students who said they were feeling real pressure and stress on how they were going to fund their children’s college education and how they were going to be able to retire someday in some comfort. John saw a need to help parents develop a customized strategy that would allow them to present themselves to the colleges in ways that would help them reduce their out-of-pocket expenses by 25% per year.

- They are misled by their own assumptions
- They tend to “buy” before they figure out how they are going to pay the bill

John helps level the playing field for parents based on his wealth of experience and up-to-date information of the college funding landscape.
John offers no pressure consultation services that help take parents to the next level in their planning process, by offering a 3 step approach:
1) Initial complimentary phone strategy session
2) Face-to-face appointment where parents are presented with a preliminary plan
3) The comprehensive package is where John, through his time and knowledge, helps parents refine and implement their customized plan; helps parents in the financial aid appeals process; reviews their plan yearly for accuracy; and completes the financial aid forms each year their child(ren) are in college.
Mr. DeLorey graduated from Boston College with a BS degree in Accounting and is a registered Investment Advisor. He has dedicated his professional career to helping over 5,200 families with his practical advice and hard work. There are five staff members at College Planning Services handling the daily administrative responsibility and the yearly completion of the complicated financial aid forms.
